(UI Design)

Flea Flea is a mobile app designed to help users discover, attend, and host local flea market events.

The project explores how people interested in vintage and second-hand items can more easily find relevant markets, connect with others, and organize their own events in a streamlined way.

Process

The design process focused on creating a clear, intuitive flow for two primary user goals: attending and hosting events. I mapped out user flows to reduce friction and ensure that both experiences could be completed in a few simple steps.

For event discovery, I prioritized quick browsing and easy access to key information such as location, time, and event details. A card-based layout was used to improve readability and allow users to scan multiple events efficiently.

For event creation, I simplified the process into a guided flow that breaks down each step selecting location, time, and details into manageable inputs. This approach was designed to make hosting accessible even for first-time users.

Visually, I used a bold color palette and rounded UI elements to create a playful and energetic feel that reflects the nature of flea markets. The design balances personality with usability, ensuring the interface remains approachable while still functional.

Unused Feature

This feature was designed to enhance item discovery by allowing users to search for products using images. Users could take a photo of an item, and the system would generate visually similar results from flea markets, thrift shops, and individual sellers.

The goal was to create a more intuitive and exploratory shopping experience, especially for users who may not know how to describe specific items through text-based search.

Although the concept aligned with the platform’s focus on discovery, this feature was ultimately not included in the final product due to scope limitations and a focus on prioritizing core user flows.
