Editorial Design

Blender Art Magazine

This project reimagines a traditional 3D art magazine by transforming Blender-based content into a more engaging and visually driven editorial experience. Instead of presenting dense, instructional material, the design focuses on clarity, hierarchy, and visual storytelling to make the content more approachable. Bold color blocking, curated imagery, and simplified layouts help guide the reader while maintaining interest across spreads. The magazine was also designed as an interactive digital piece, allowing for a more fluid and exploratory reading experience. Overall, the project bridges technical information with a modern, accessible editorial style.

Process

The process centered on restructuring and condensing original articles to improve readability and fit an editorial format. I developed a consistent grid system to organize content while allowing flexibility for more dynamic compositions and visual experimentation. A color palette inspired by Blender’s orange and blue was expanded to create consistency and contrast across spreads. Repeating visual elements, such as 3D renders, wireframes, and graphic accents, were used to unify the design. The final result balances structure and creativity, turning complex information into a clear and engaging layout.
